Everyone has a thing they love that makes their soul sing, I am lucky enough to have two: art and writing. I began writing for fun in seventh grade where my first love was fiction thrillers and murder mysteries. As I got older my tastes evolved. By the time I was in high school, I had journals upon journals that had everything in them from short stories and journal entries to research papers on psychology, sociology, and philosophy.
After high school, life happened. I became stuck in survival mode — in other words, I began working 60-80 hours a week in jobs that sucked my soul from my body. Lacking time and energy, I packed my creativity away in a box not knowing if I was packing it up for good.
Now, I am at a point where I can not only pursue writing. Freelance writing allows me to use my ADHD superpower of hyper fixation to research and be captivated by a wide range of topics as well as utilize newfound interests, such as teaching the things I have learned to others through my first love: writing.
